Bali Wedding Market Grows to 2.5–3K Ceremonies a Year
Bali’s wedding industry delivers 2,500–3,000 ceremonies a year, with demand from both international and local clients continuing to rise.
For investors, this indicates a stable flow of solvent guests across villas, boutique hotels, event venues and service real estate: the average wedding budget is IDR 200–300M, while full property buyouts can run into the billions of rupiah. The 122 members of the Bali Wedding Association alone average 40–50 weddings per year each, excluding non-members—so the market is larger than the official sample. Revenue is distributed among planners, venues, catering, décor, photo/video and other vendors, reducing reliance on a single demand source. Competition is intensifying—Bali competes with Thailand and Vietnam—so assets with prime locations and a clear wedding concept perform better.
Focus on villas and small hotels that can host intimate weddings with partial or full buyouts.
