Sea ambulance now links Bali with Nusa Penida and Lembongan
On 22 September a sea ambulance started work on Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan.
The 11-metre boat carries ventilators, patient monitors and oxygen, with medical staff on board. It takes seriously ill patients to hospitals on Bali, landing at Sanur or Padang Bai. It serves both residents and tourists — head injuries, fractures, severe dehydration, heart conditions.
The boat is based on Ceningan and was launched by the Nusa Medica clinic group.
What it means for buyers: the main drawback of living on the Nusa islands is the distance to a hospital. Emergency care is now closer. For anyone looking at a home or a rental villa on the islands, that is a real plus.
