Airport to Canggu water taxi still needs 14 studies before a decision

A water taxi pier linking Ngurah Rai Airport and Canggu is still only a plan. On 2 October the project was discussed with residents of Tibubeneng village.
The pier is proposed at Perancak Beach in North Kuta. Before any decision, at least 14 studies are needed: environment, culture, engineering, and the impact on residents and nearby temples. Residents asked that access to temples and ceremonies be kept and worry about more traffic.
Udayana University has been working on the feasibility study for more than six months. A detailed design comes next, but even that does not mean construction starts right away. Who will pay is also undecided.
What it means for buyers: the Canggu water taxi is an idea, not a construction project. Don't factor it in when comparing travel times from the airport to different areas.
