Airport–Canggu tram: the deal is signed, construction from 2027

On September 1, Bali province, Badung regency and state railway company KAI signed an agreement to build an electric tram from the airport to Canggu.
The line is about 12 km long. The tram runs on batteries, takes about 30 minutes and comes every 10 minutes. It is designed for 60,000 passengers a day.
Construction is planned to start in March 2027. Phase one is due in 2028 and the full line in 2029.
What it means for buyers: if it gets built, Canggu will be a traffic-free ride from the airport. For now it is an agreement, not tracks. It is too early to pay extra for a villa because of the tram.
