There is a new theme in real estate: wellness projects. These are homes and complexes where everything is designed for health: gyms, swimming pools, clean air, light, and comfort.
The wellness real estate market was valued at USD 584 billion in 2024 and is expected to grow by 15.2% annually, reaching USD 1.1 trillion by 2029.
Developers such as Gurner Group are implementing technologies like purified air, filtered water, and adaptive lighting to create an ecosystem that supports health and longevity.
By the end of 2024, there were more than 4,550 certified WELL and Fitwel projects worldwide, with the largest number in the USA (almost 2,500).
Future homes are expected to track residents’ biometrics and adjust lighting and temperature based on their sleep cycles.
Bali can be seen as a wellness island. I see strong potential. Sunny is already building similar projects.
