🌬 What is a wind rose, and why does it matter when buying real estate?
Choosing an apartment with a terrace? Want it to feel fresh inside, not stuffy?
Then you need a wind rose — it’s like a compass, but not for navigation, for comfort.
A wind rose is a diagram that shows:
✔️ where the wind most often comes from
✔️ how strong and how frequent it is
Why does this matter?
— Natural ventilation if the windows face the wind
— Comfort on the balcony — no strong drafts and no “steam room” effect
— Less dust, noise, and odors from roads or construction sites
— Savings on air conditioning
— Less dampness, lower risk of mold
For an investor, this means:
— More comfort = higher rental demand
— Fewer complaints from tenants
— Long-term resilience of the property

Canggu, Uluwatu, Nusa Dua, Sanur, Ubud
3. Select the location from the dropdown list — the forecast page will open
4. Scroll down to the “Wind statistics” section
5. There you will see the wind rose — a circular chart of wind directions
6. You can switch between months to see seasonal changes
